Our Director

My name is Karla Rodriguez and I am honored to serve as the Preschool Director at Bet Shira.   Originally from Brazil, Miami has been my home for more than 30 years. I attended Gama Filho University in Rio de Janeiro where I received a degree in Psychology and have spent the past 25 years as early childhood educator acquiring various certifications in the field. I've proudly served as the owner/operator of two large, esteemed learning centers in Miami-Dade County. As the director of Preschool at Bet Shira, my mission is to create a secure, nurturing, and enriching learning environment for young children. I am deeply committed to fostering their holistic development, encompassing social, emotional, and cognitive growth. My goal is to play a pivotal role in shaping the foundational years of each child’s life, ensuring they receive the best possible start for future success and well-being.   Married and a proud parent of two grown up children aged 37 and 29, I also delight in the joy of being a grandparent to a 5-year-old granddaughter.
